OUR HISTORY
History: Nirmal Chintamani School
“Situated at the foothills of the Shivalik range of Himalayas, and shadowed by the pristine town of Kasauli, Nirmal Chintamani School had its humble beginning on 18 July 1984, when the brick kiln, started by Late Shri Chintamani, for industrialization of Himachal Pradesh was being closed down due to paucity of coal. The laborers were reluctant to send their children to school away from the kiln site so Smt. Nirmal Devi, wife of Late Shri Chintamani, initiated the kindergarten school to ensure education for all children in the vicinity of the kiln. The foundation stone was laid by late Shri Virbhadra Singh, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh in Oct 1984.
The school which initially started in the four rooms of the kiln with Nursery and KG classes and has since developed into a beautifully laid out institute imparting education up to the Secondary Level. The School is affiliated with the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education under Affiliation Number 27523.
We wish to emphasize here that the school has the noble vision of providing quality and holistic education to the wards of the less privileged section of the society.
The present strength of the School is over 300 in classes from Class I to Class X. The School plans to introduce Class XI and XII in the near future and will apply for affiliation up to Class XII as soon as the necessary compliances and infrastructure is ready.
The School is managed by Chintamani Foundation, a Registered Trust under the Indian Income Tax Act 1961.
