Academic Curriculum

AFFILIATION BOARD

The school is affiliated to the Himachal Board of School Education, Dharamshala and strictly follows the curriculum decided by it from time to time. The school prescribes textbooks as decided by the Board which is examining body for class V, VIII, IX and X.

SUBJECTS:

The following subjects are taught in the school:

1. Nursery and KG : English, Hindi, Mathematics, Drawing.
2. 1^st to 5^th  : English, Hindi, Mathematics, Environment Science, Drawing.
3. 6^th to 8^th  : English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Drawing, Yoga & Himachal Lok  Sanskriti.
4. 9^th and 10^th  : English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Drawing.

Assessments:

Two types of assessments are done in a year:

1. Formative Assessment (FA)  –   2 per term
2. Summative Assessment (SA) – 1 per term 

Schedule of  Assessments:

FA-1 : 2^nd week of May

FA-2 : 3^rd week of June

SA-1 : 3^rd week of September

FA-3 : 3^rd week of November

FA-4 : 1^st week of January

SA-2 : 2^nd week of March

ACADEMIC TERMS

The school has two academic terms:

17^th January to  25^th June

1st August  to  6^th January

Summer Vacation 26^th June  to 31st July

Diwali Break : Two days before Diwali and three days after Diwali  (Total 06 days)

Winter Vacation 7^th January to 16^th January

NOTE:  

Besides summer and winter breaks the school remains closed on second Saturday of every month, all HP gazetted  holidays and  two restricted holidays.

Lady staff is given leave on Raksha Bandhan, Bhai Dooj and Karva Chauth also.
